The Gemma Di Paradiso perfume by the Italian brand and designer, Roberto Cavalli, is my favorite scent, as well as my signature scent. It smells divine, and I feel powerfully feminine and sensual when I wear it. I'm absolutely obsessed with it (perhaps, too obsessed). Even so, I like to try out other fragrances every once in a while, so I certainly do have a personal collection of my most used and treasured scents.
There are a few factors I take into consideration when choosing a scent. A lot them, I feel you all will be able to relate to as well. I like anything that makes me feel confident and sure of myself, by giving me a sense of security in the way that I present myself to others, or carry myself in my daily life. I also love anything that smells feminine, and soft, and makes me feel powerful and beautiful in a way. It's really a lot to ask from a bottle of perfume, but choosing a scent should often feel like choosing a career: You want something that you'll love doing for the rest of your life, and will also provide a sense of security, but you never want to limit yourself to thinking that you're only made to do one thing forever. You might possibly also want to venture into other career choices that peak your interest. And in this case, other fragrances.
But, if I'm honest, I'm a really "Stick with it till the end" kind of girl. I lean into my intuition, and put my trust in whatever works best for me. I stay committed, and find it hard to part with something I've come to love deeply. So, I guess you could also say that choosing a fragrance is like choosing a life partner: Someone who smells good, feels right, and brings out the best in you, so to speak.
The right fragrance leaves a bold and lasting impression without being too overwhelming, or underwhelming, whereby it leaves no impression at all. The fragrance you choose as your signature scent should help enhance your best qualities, so that wherever you go, you enter and exit confidently.
