An Ode To Ordinary Days

I did nothing today

But nothing could have been anything.

I did the dishes today

And finally swept the dust beneath my bed.

I bought oranges today

And apples, as well as mangoes and bananas.

I read a book

Then, took a nap.

I woke up hungry

So I rummaged the fridge for leftovers.

In life, there is often so much to do

And so little time.

There is a lot to learn

Although, we can never know everything.

But, on those forgettable, fleeting days

When life seems to slow down a bit...

I suddenly feel the rush to do everything.

Everything, and nothing at all.

One ordinary day becomes a memory after it passes. But memories are a special thing to have.

So, perhaps, ordinary days are extraordinary

In many unseen and incredible ways.

"in life, there is so much to do and often so little time". Omg. yes!
